Content Optimization & Strategy – Part 2

We have already discussed two key points on content optimization, here’s a brief on the next two key points:
·         Correct Usage of Keyword
·         Correct Stuff

1.    Correct Usage of Keyword :
While planning your content strategy, you have already made an analysis about the keywords and user intent, so this section doesn’t explain about which keywords are being used in your content; but it is about how well the keywords are being used in your content. It is important to understand that keyword stuffing is not a very great idea when it comes to SEO.

·         Nowadays, search engines are smart enough, so it is worth noting that common synonyms can be used in your content instead of directly using the primary keyword. Just don’t stuff your content with full of primary keywords, replace some with related terms / keywords.
·         Use keywords in your images alt tags / title tags, shouldn’t be forced use but a natural use wherever it fits better.
·         Your Titles (Eg: h1 tags etc.) can also have keywords wherever applicable or can also be a synonym to the primary keyword.
·         The pages URL on the website can even have keywords, that is - if there is a page related to the content then the keywords can be plugged in correctly.

2.    Correct Stuff:
Content should be free of typos and grammatical errors. Also, if the content leads to a link on another website, then it is important you to know that the site is the correct one and has correct & relevant content to what you’ve been describing. If it leads the user to a site which has irrelevant content then there can be a great drop ratio in the traffic on your website.

Last but not the least:
·         Your content is fact checked
·         It is free of grammatical errors & typos
·         It links to correct & reputable sources.

Summary:
·         Good UX means good SEO.
·         You’re writing for people and not search engines.
·         Make sure there are call to actions which for mobile devices and the UI/UX is great.
·         Loading time is also important for the user to stay on the page. If the loading time is more than 3 seconds there are chances of the drop ratio.

Keep in mind these points and Go forth - create ‘high-quality content’
